2018 BC ALPINE SUMMITS COURSE (Chamonix)
COURSE DATE: 23/04 – 27/04/18  PRICE: £3160.00 GROUP SIZE: 4 (ratio 1:2)

“One of the most exciting and challenging courses on my program”

I’ve been experimenting with High Summits and multi day touring courses for about 20 years now, switching between specific ‘Mont Blanc’ Summit Courses, Haute Route Splitboard trips and a more open and diverse style of Peaks to Powder Course.

Whilst Mont Blanc and the Haute Route are both popular goals, High mountain objectives are very much affected by snow and weather conditions and so one of the things that I have learned during the last 20 years of running this course, is that being adaptable is the key to success and scoring the greatest objectives.

Whilst not ruling out a Mont Blanc summit attempt, adaptability will allow us to climb and ride the greatest objectives given the conditions at the time.

There are so many amazing ride-able peaks here in the high Alps surrounding Chamonix and this course is about climbing and riding the greatest lines from their lofty summits!

The BC Alpine Summits course combines the skills of the experienced Backcountry Freerider with the climbing skills of the dedicated Winter Mountaineer to bring you the ultimate BC Mountaineering/Splitboard high peaks experience.

This will be a very demanding week of high altitude climbing and Big Mountain Freeriding designed for those with the need and the desire to take their Backcountry High Mountain experience to the highest levels.

A Heli drop might be used in order to shorten approach times and fit weather windows if necessary.

Target peaks include: Pin d’arolla (2 day climb), Mont Blanc (2 day climb/1 day with Heli assist), Monte Rosa (2 day climb/1 day with Heli assist), Gran Paradiso (2 day climb) Dome du Miage tour (2 days with Heli assist), Grand Combin (1 day with Heli assist).
