Backcountry Snowboarding Lyngen Alps

COURSE DATE: 21/04 – 28/04/18 PRICE: £5,150.00  GROUP SIZE: 5

“This magical and mystical area deep within the Arctic circle is host to a unique mountain wilderness that is rarely found yet surprisingly easy to access. This really is the trip of a lifetime!”

The Lyngen Alps, found in the far Northern Fjords of Norway, have for a long time been a favourite Snowboarding destination of mine. This magical and mystical area is host to a unique mountain wilderness that is rarely found yet surprisingly easy to access.

Shear white mountains rise steeply from the cold dark blue waters of the narrow Fjords that craze this wild coastline deep inside the Arctic circle. The elements have been hard at work here carving and shaping the in-hospitable wilderness into a Backcountry Freeriders heaven, the 90km long Lyngen Fjord sits right in the heart of it all and centre stage an oasis of comfort in an otherwise barren landscape is found our base of operations, the Lyngen Lodge.

Forget about crazy lift lines and racing for freshlines this doesn’t apply, here we take a step back, relax and flow with the forces of nature, Splitboard hiking to untouched peaks and riding choice lines from summit to sea. With hiking right from the door of the lodge, or easy access to the foot of the slopes by Van, Skidoo or Boat, all at our disposal, the options are as numerous as the peaks that fill the horizon.

The terrain is friendly, fast and fun. Steep, narrow and deep or fast, wide open and mellow, Lyngen has it all and after a great day out amongst the peaks you can relax and recover in the Sauna or Hot tub whilst Dolphin swim in the sounds, sea Otter play on the beach and Sea Eagles soar over head…

Like I said, this really is a very mystical place.

Please note: This is a physically demanding Backcountry Splitboard expeditions style trip with a slant to the side of luxury and comfort.
