McNab Pyrenees Intro

COURSE DATE: 04/02/18 – 09/02/18 PRICE: £1125.00 GROUP SIZE: Full

“This Pyrenees Backcountry Intro course promises an exciting Freeride journey into the extraordinary untamed wilderness of the Haute Pyrenees.”

4 days of exciting Backcountry Freeriding and Splitboard exploration in the High peaks of the Pyrenees.

It is no secret that for the past few years the Pyrenees have been getting more early season snow than the Alps. The moist South Westerly airstreams coming in off the Atlantic, now increasingly common early season, greatly favor the peaks of the Southern Alps and even more so, the Pyrenees, bringing frequent and plentiful Snowfall.

Whilst not quite as high or numerous as some of their Northern cousins, the peaks of the Pyrenees are spectacular and the terrain here is wild,  endless and mostly untouched. Pyrenean ski resorts are mostly smaller, quieter and more remote than those of the Alps but the Backcountry potential here is endless.

With an exciting new ‘flexible’ approach to where and what we ride, this 4 day journey of Backcountry Freeride exploration will take us in search of the best snow conditions and the most fun terrain. Using the lifts for access and the Splitboards to get ‘out there’ this Backcountry Intro course promises a Freeride journey into the extraordinary untamed wilderness of the Haute Pyrenees.
