McNab Snowboarding

SLACKCOUNTRY  FREERIDE (Tignes)
COURSE DATE: 15/03/25 – 22/03/25  PRICE: £1295.000  AVAILABILITY: Spaces

Slackcountry describes the terrain that lies just beyond the boundaries of the Patrolled ski area, it can accessed straight off the lifts or with a short hike or Splitboard mission. Join UIAGM Snowboard Guide Neil McNab for this 5 day Slackcountry Freeride course, set in the immense high altitude resort of Tignes.

With comfortable and sociable, shared full board accomodation at the Dragon Lodge right at the foot of the slopes, all you need to do is turn up shred, learn and have fun.

“The Slackcountry Freeride sessions are designed for experienced Snowboarders searching for fresh lines away from the beaten track and those looking to gain knowledge and insight into the World of the Backcountry just beyond”.

The high altitude Freeride mecca of Tignes is famous for its abundance of Freeride terrain that is easily accessed straight of the lifts. It is less well known however, for its abundance of Slackcountry terrain hidden in the bowls, valleys and peaks just beyond the resort boundaries.

The idea behind this Slackcountry Freeride course is to explore and ride all that Tignes has to offer, riding the perfectly groomed pistes and inbound terrain from the lifts and exploring beyond with short hikes or the use of a Splitboard to venture further afield.

With the emphasis, as always, on Mountain Safety, the ‘Slackcountry Freeride sessions’ will teach you how to look at, respect and learn from the terrain in which you ride and increase your awareness for the high mountains helping you develop your ability and confidence to tour, climb and ride in safety amongst the high peaks.

My Slackcountry Freeride sessions provide a fun and exciting week of pure uncompromised Freeriding.

For this course we recommend you stay at the dragonlodge in the heart of Tignes le lac. Make your individual booking for the 15th to 22nd March AT THE DRAGONLODGE.COM quoting you are part of  the McNab snowboarding group.
