2027 – SENJA ARCTIC SPLITBOARDING

The Nordic Island of Senja, commonly known as ‘Little Norway’, is found on the West Coast of the Troms region of Arctic Norway
Our trip begins with a night in Tromso where we shall meet up at the ‘HOME HOTEL WITH’ ready for an early morning departure to Senja stopping on route for our first Splitboard adventure in the high mountains just to the North of Tromso. We will then take the evening ferry across to the Island of Senja where we will be we will be staying in a house made up of two apartments providing single occupancy rooms in the small community of Mefjordvaer. Our accomodation is self catered and so we will share the task of shopping for and cooking the communal breakfast and evening meals together.
From this comfortable base, deep in the heart of both fjords and mountains, we will spend the next 5 days exploring, hiking and riding the mystical terrain that surrounds us.
At the end of the week, early on Saturday the 17/04/27 we will drive back to Tromso for and evening flight home or one more night in ‘HOME HOTEL WITH’ in Tromso.
(With limited flights on the 17th, we recommend you book a flight home on the 18th and spend a extra night in Tromso).

17/04/26 – Mid morning transfer to Tromso for one more evening or an evening departure.

Our Backcountry Voyager Lofoten Split & Surf trip caters for Advanced Backcountry Snowboarders with previous Splitboard experience.

Riding level 5
A very good fitness level and a minimum of 8 weeks riding experience is recommended.
For safety reasons ‘Riders unable to meet the required criteria for their chosen course may be unable to complete that course at the discretion of the course leader’.

- 6 days on snow Guidance with UIAGM Mountain Guide Neil McNab (ratio 1:6).
- Accommodation provided in single rooms in shared appartment/house Mefjord Brygge. (note meal costs not included).
- Transport to and from the mountain and airport transfers, Tromso to Senja return.
- Flights to and from Tromso.
- Food costs. (We will shop and cook together or eat out)
- Personal Snowboard/Splitboard equipment.
- Backcountry access and mountain safety equipment is not included.
- Insurance.
