Title: Latest news from Chamonix and Kashmir!
Date: 14/02/2013

Been a while since I last wrote any news but its been a very busy winter so far out here in Chamonix with amazing snow and courses running back to back…

Just before heading away to Kashmir I rode an epic 3 day Slackcountry course, I think it was meant to be an 'Of Piste clinic' but I overruled because of the epic conditions, and we ended up riding some amazing powder on the Rognons Glacier, an epic Pas de Chevre and a Grand Envers off the Midi, and action packed 3 days…couldn't have been better really and no real hiking involved either.

I'm now just back from my Kashmir Splitboarding trip and so have a couple of days off to recover and get things in order before the big stint of Splitboarding courses that stretch out from next week until the end of the season in May. The snow is, as I've already mentioned absolutely fantastic at the moment so I'm looking forward to getting in loads of great touring and big Backcountry descents from here on in. Things up high are so well filled in it should be great from here on in.

So yesterday I edited some footage from Kashmir you can check it out here!

And I put photo's from the trip on line in the photo gallery so check them out

We've had a few cancellations this past few days, a couple of places have come up on both BC Splitboard Freeride courses. This is one of my favourite courses so if you're looking to get out amongst it then send Ruth an email and get on board if you're up for it.

There's a couple of spaces left on the Splitboard Haute Route for anyone that's hardcore and also Mont Blanc has some places left.

Looking at the calendar I have 9 Splitboard weeks left to ride and only one week on a regular set up! I've just spent the morning building myself a killer pair of Splitboard bindings from many pairs and bits that I have lying around. Maybe just maybe I have finally solved the performance problem and can now finally put the drill away!

I guess we'll see early next week on the BC Split intro course…

Just had a mail from the Jones team about product so I'll hopefully be getting some of next years boards to check out in the next week or so. Unfortunately it looks like we're short on the bigger sizes in the demo runs but next year I'm going to be psyched to ride the Solution Carbon 168W…OMG how good is that going to be!!!

Well, I need to go set up boards for next weeks Split Intro…realy looking forward to it, it's going to be manic holiday period for a few weeks now so the time for Splitting is on…get away from the crowds and get out riding the fresh…bring it on!

All is good.

Neil.
